L'été arrive!

à Lyon! Ben, presque!
// it's Summer in Lyon. Well, practically!

And it's AMAZING! I've been getting a bit of a tan which I'm very proud of; it's hovering around the 20 degrees mark which is sooo lush, and it's staying there too which is very good news! I've been spending time in pubs doing revision/general drinking which always feels summery; although France doesn't really have beer gardens which is a pain; can't wait to get into them when I come home!

Home over Easter was lovely! I was met practically the moment I got home by Dais and we went out for a meal which was nice, and I saw her again before I came back; we went to visit our ex-boss at his new work which was fun! Plus one evening I went to the pub with Natatalie, her boyfriend Sam and her brother Darren, and I managed to catch up with my friend Nathan who I hadn't seen since Secondary School, and was so nice to see him! Went for a meal in Crawley with some of the girls too; some of which I hadn't seen in ages, plus obviously saw lots of family which was really nice! Mum and Dad had decorated my room; got home and it looks AMAZING! Absolutely love having a double bed now! Plus they've moved everything around so it's really spacious, plus they've painted it a really nice green; I'm absolutely in love with it lol! They bought me those lamps where you touch them and they turn on; they've got three settings, and again, LOVE...IT!

Got my loan through on Saturday thankfully; money situation was pretty horrific but all's good now! Plus I've applied for a job back home (finger's crossed; am waiting to hear back from them; will let you know in due course) so that should help with the finances too!

I spoke to Guy last night (well, he left a message on my Facebook wall and I gave him a ring, and proceeded to accidentally wake up the whole house; parents were not amused apparently!) and he said that he's managed to smash the right-hand wing mirror of the car, (made even funnier by the fact that I managed to smash the left one over Christmas) and had to phone Mum and tell her and apparently she wasn't best pleased (unsurprisingly...) so I think Guy and I are both pretty much in the dog house! Big birthday presents for the parents this year I'm thinking...

Went for a night out with the girls on Saturday; very funny! We were all quite merry; on the bus on the way out a random started talking to us, and my genius (literally) idea was to talk complete gobbledy gook back at him; literally making up words (sounds lol) as I went along; so funny! Everyone on the bus thought we were mental, unsurprisingly, but it was one of the funniest moments ever! The rest of the night was epic too; went to Johnny's Kitchen, then the St. James, then Kellys, then Wallaces (I love Vieux Lyon) before stumbling back to a taxi. Epic night, epic lol.

Can't think of any more updates, but will write again soon!

Bisous! Jess xx
